Set Up SpectrumSIM on a
Cudy WiFi Router
The setup procedure is similar for all Cudy WiFi router models. Follow these steps to get connected to the SpectrumSIM network.
Activate Your SIM Card
Before inserting the SIM, activate it on the SpectrumSIM Platform. This provisions the card for cellular data before it goes into the device.
Insert the Nano SIM Card
Insert the Nano SIM card into the slot on the side of the device. Make sure to align the SIM card correctly with the gold contacts facing the correct direction as indicated by the slot.
Power On the Router
Power on your Cudy router and wait for it to fully boot up before proceeding to the next step.
Connect to the Cudy WiFi Network
On your desktop or laptop, open WiFi settings and look for a network name starting with Cudy-. Connect to it — the WiFi password is printed on the back of the device.
Open the Router Settings Page
Open a web browser and navigate to http://192.168.10.1/. If this is your first time logging in, you will be prompted to set a new admin password for security.
Go to System Status → Settings
Once on the settings page, click System Status, then click Settings to access the cellular configuration options.
Enable Data Roaming & Set APN
Enable Data Roaming, then set the APN Profile to Manual and enter the APN details below. Leave Username and Password blank.
Save and Apply
Click the Save and Apply button to save your APN settings. The router will apply the changes.
Alternative: Use Quick Setup
Prefer a guided flow? After logging in, click Quick Setup instead. Under Cellular, enter the same APN values (puffin, blank username and password) as shown in the settings above.
Complete Quick Setup
Click Next twice to reach the Summary page, review your settings, then click Save and Apply to finish.
Restart & Verify Connection
Restart your Cudy device to make all changes effective. After reboot, log back in to http://192.168.10.1/ and check System Status. You should see Cellular Status showing Connected.
Still Having Issues?
Here are the most common causes and how to fix them.
Make sure your computer is connected to the Cudy WiFi network (not your home network). Only devices connected to the Cudy router can access the settings page.
Double-check that the APN is set to puffin and that Data Roaming is enabled. Restart the device after saving changes.
Remove and re-insert the Nano SIM, making sure it is fully seated and correctly oriented. The SIM must be inserted before powering on the router.
