1. Activate your SIM card at Spectrum SIM Platform.

2. Attach the antenna to your Reolink camera. Most Reolink cameras come with an antenna, you need to attach it to the camera. Without the antenna, the camera will not connect to the cellular network.

3. Punch the Nano SIM card from your SIM card. The Nano SIM card is the smallest one.

4. Insert the Nano SIM card completely into the camera's SIM card slot. You may need a pin to push the SIM card into the slot.

5. If the SIM card is inserted properly, you will hear a voice like “Your camera is connected to the network.” You are all set. You can follow the instructions from your camera to scan the bar code on your smart phone to use the camera.

6. However, you may also hear a voice like “Your camera has not connected to the network”, or “Please activate your SIM card”. If that happens, you need to follow the steps below to change the camera's APN.

7. Take the Micro SD card out from the camera.

8. You need to create a new file on the Micro SD card. If you have a Nano SD reader on your computer, you can directly insert the SD card. Or, you can use a SD card reader.

9. Create a text file named my_custom_apn.txt using a text file editor. On Windows, you can use the notepad. The file has the following lines. Leave the username and password blank.
apn=puffin
username=
password=

Your APN file should be in the same folder as the video folder.

Troubleshoot tip 1. You need to use a pin to press the Reset Button to make the changes effective.

Troubleshoot tip 2. Since the SIM cards can be difficult to remove, we've noticed that sometimes customers accidentally damage them, causing the SIM card to stop working.
